Lawful use only

This unit is sold for one purpose only: lawful, discreet recording on property you own or control. It has no network connection of any kind - no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, app or cloud - so it cannot stream, cannot be viewed remotely and cannot upload anything; footage stays on the microSD card inside it. It is not a baby monitor, not a pet camera and not a remote-viewing device, and it will not work as one. Recording people without their consent, or anywhere they have a reasonable expectation of privacy such as bathrooms, changing rooms or bedrooms, is illegal in most jurisdictions, including under US state wiretap and privacy statutes.

Overview

A real scientific calculator that adds, divides and does trigonometry like any other, with a 1080p recorder built into the case. There is no radio of any kind inside: no Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth, no cellular modem, no companion app and no cloud account, so nothing can be streamed, watched remotely or uploaded. The only way footage ever leaves the unit is if you take the microSD card out and read it on a computer. The rear cover folds back so it stands upright on a desk, counter or shelf, and motion detection starts recording on its own when someone walks into frame. It exists for one purpose - discreet local recording on property you own or control.

Nothing to hack, nothing to leak

Bought it for a stockroom till point. No Wi-Fi, no app, no account - at the end of the week the card comes out and goes in the safe. Exactly what I wanted and nothing I did not.

Works as a calculator, which is the point

It sits on the counter and nobody looks twice. The maths functions are real, the display is a proper LCD, and from the front there is no way to tell there is a lens in the case.

Motion mode caught the delivery

Set it to motion recording and it picked up a driver going through our storeroom. Footage was on the card, no cloud involved anywhere. Battery lasts about a week on motion mode, not the eight hours of continuous.

Questions about this product

Still unsure? Ask us
Why do you ask for a lawful-use confirmation?

Because in most jurisdictions the device is legal to own but the use must be lawful. The confirmation is a record that you read the policy; it goes into the quote email.

Do these units have a visible indicator?

Yes. Every unit has a status LED that stays lit while it records. We deliberately do not sell units with the LED disabled, or units disguised as everyday objects.

How long does the battery last?

Per unit in the spec table, typically a full day of recording on a single charge. All units can be powered continuously for 24/7 use.

Do these units need Wi-Fi or an app?

Most do not: the card-based recorders have no radio at all, so there is nothing to pair, no account to create and no way for anyone to reach the footage over a network. Models that do support Wi-Fi say so in their specification table, and every unit records to local storage first regardless.

Can someone tell the camera is there?

The units are compact but not hidden: the LED and the recording duration are visible up close. That is the point of the legal-use policy.
